Version 2026-10-16
For owners who list a bike
This agreement is between Gethigh Studio Oy (Business ID 3351123-7, Kousankatu 1 A 322, 20610 Turku, Finland; the operator of RRRentals, "we" or "us") and the person or business that lists a vehicle on RRRentals ("you", "the owner"). By accepting it you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you have the right to rent out the vehicle you listed, and that you accept this agreement together with the RRRentals Terms and Conditions. RRRentals acts as the rental agent (välittäjä) of your vehicle, and you accept that a renter is not liable for the vehicle being broken - only for what is missing when it comes back (section 6).
You list your vehicle on RRRentals and appoint us to act as your intermediary (välittäjä) when your vehicle is rented out through the platform.
Acting in your name and for your account we may: publish the listing with the details you gave us; show the price, the deposit and the rental periods that apply to the listing; conclude the rental agreement with the customer on your behalf; collect the rent through our payment provider; organise the handover of the vehicle and the cash deposit as agreed with the customer; and settle your share of the rent to your account with us.
The rental contract for your vehicle is concluded between you and the customer. We are not a party to the rent itself. Our own service to you and to the customer is the intermediation, and we charge commission for it (section 6).
The mandatory rights of a consumer customer, including the right to compensation for a personal injury caused by a defective vehicle or by negligence, are not affected by this agreement or by the Terms and Conditions.
You are responsible for the vehicle you list. You guarantee that:
You keep the vehicle serviced and you keep a record of the service. Brakes and tyres are checked at least every 30 rental days, and once a month for a vehicle that is rented out on a subscription.
You give us the service record on request, and you cooperate with an investigation of an accident, a defect or a claim, including any statement the customer, the police or an insurer asks for.
We may refuse to publish a listing, remove it from the platform or suspend your settlements if the vehicle, the way you rent it out or the documents you gave us do not meet these requirements.
You must have insurance that covers your vehicle while it is rented out for payment, including liability towards third parties, and you must keep it valid for as long as the listing is live. You must tell us if your insurance does not cover renting the vehicle out for payment, and if it does not we may remove the listing.
For a moped or a motorbike that cover is the insurance Finnish law requires for a motor vehicle: the compulsory motor liability insurance (liikennevakuutus) under liikennevakuutuslaki (460/2016). It is the statutory minimum, and it pays compensation for personal injury and for property damage your vehicle causes to third parties in traffic - whoever was at fault - and for the rider's own injuries. A vehicle without a valid liikennevakuutus must not be used in traffic at all, so we do not publish and do not keep a motorbike listing without it. Give us the insurer, the policy number and the registration on request, and tell us at once when the policy lapses or the vehicle is deregistered.
An e-bicycle (pedal assistance limited to 250 W and 25 km/h) is a bicycle in Finnish law, not a motor vehicle, and Finnish law requires no insurance for it: no compulsory cover exists for the harm a rider of an e-bicycle causes to a third party. Because there is no statutory cover, we require that you carry voluntary liability insurance of your own (vastuuvakuutus, normally the liability part of your home insurance, kotivakuutus) that covers your vehicle while it is rented out for payment.
Taking this insurance out, paying the premium for it and keeping it valid is your duty and your cost as the owner of the vehicle, and it stays yours: we do not take insurance out for your vehicle, we are not the policyholder or the insured under your policy, we do not pay the premium and we do not maintain the cover. Requiring your declaration, or asking to see the policy, does not move that duty - or the liability for its absence - to us, and the same is true of the driving licence a moped or a motorbike requires: that is your and the rider's duty, and a check we make does not transfer it to us. A vehicle used in traffic without the cover the law requires is your liability, and you indemnify us for it under section 7.
Our own liability insurance covers our activity as the intermediary. It does not replace your insurance and it does not cover your own liability as the owner of the vehicle.
We charge commission of 20 % of the rent we collect (VAT included) and settle the rest to your on-site account, as shown for the listing and in the payout documents of each rental. If an individual commission rate has been agreed with you, that rate, as shown in your payout documents, applies instead of the 20 %.
The document of the customer names you as the supplier of the rental and names us as the intermediary. A private person's occasional letting of an own vehicle is normally not VAT-taxable business, while an owner that rents out as a business accounts for the VAT on the rent in its own VAT return. Which of the two applies to you depends on your own activity, and you are responsible for your own taxes, bookkeeping and registrations.
We report the rentals we intermediate and the payments we make to you to the Finnish Tax Administration as a platform operator.
RRRentals acts as the rental agent (välittäjä) of the vehicle when it is rented out: the rental is concluded in your name and for your account, as section 1 describes.
You accept that a renter is not liable for the vehicle being broken. Damage, wear, a mechanical or electrical failure, a flat tyre, a bent wheel, a broken light, a damaged battery and any other breakage that happens while the vehicle is rented out - including damage from an accident - is not charged to the renter and is not withheld from the renter's cash deposit. If something is broken, the renter gets the deposit back.
The renter is liable only for what is missing when the vehicle comes back: the vehicle itself, or a part, an accessory or an item that was handed over with it (for example the battery, the charger, the lock or the helmet) that the renter does not return. For what is missing we may hold the renter liable and withhold from the cash deposit the value of what is missing, and not more. This is the rule the renter accepts in step 2 of the booking, and it is part of the Terms and Conditions.
You carry the risk of damage to your own vehicle as its owner and you are responsible for repairing it; the rental price and the commission are set on that basis. You must not ask us to charge a renter for damage or to keep a deposit for damage, and you must not withhold a deposit yourself for damage.
This section does not counteract the Terms and Conditions: the renter's liability for what is missing is stated in the same way in both, this agreement adds no charge against the renter other than the value of what is missing, and where a question concerns the renter the Terms and Conditions and the rental rules the renter accepts in step 2 of the booking apply together with this agreement.
You are liable to the customer for the condition of your vehicle and for your own acts and omissions.
To the extent the law allows, you indemnify us for the losses, costs and claims we have to pay because a vehicle you listed was unfit, unsafe or not what the listing described; because you did not have the insurance you promised; because you or your vehicle caused injury or damage; or because the information you gave us was untrue.
Our liability to you is limited to the commission we charged for the affected rentals, except where the law does not allow that limit.
We are not liable for the conduct of a customer, for the vehicle being stolen or damaged by a customer (that is what your insurance and the cash deposit are for) or for lost rental income when a listing is removed for a safety reason.
We verify your identity and your payout details before we pay you, and we process your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
We keep the record of this agreement, of the declarations you make when listing and of each rental, so that a dispute or a claim can be handled afterwards.
This agreement runs for as long as you have a listing on RRRentals, and either of us may end it with 30 days' notice.
We may end it immediately and remove your listings if you break it in a way that endangers a customer, if the information you gave us is false, or if we are required to do so by law or by an authority.
Obligations that by their nature survive the end of the agreement - insurance, indemnity and the records of finished rentals - survive it.
You may ban a renter from the platform in the owner view, and ask us to do it for you, when the person handled your vehicle inappropriately, violated moral norms, or behaved inappropriately towards you, your vehicle or the platform. We may also ban a person ourselves as the administrator of the platform.
A ban entered by you is platform wide: the person can still sign in, but can no longer book any vehicle through RRRentals, and a new account is not opened for them from the same browser. The ban list is shared between the owners of the vehicles, so that a banned person is recognised before a vehicle is handed over. The banned person is not notified by e-mail.
Record the reason for the ban and the first six digits of the personal identity code (the date of birth) you saw on the identity document at the handover. That is what a renter who books again under the same name with a different e-mail address is checked against: we alert you and the platform administrator when it happens.
The ban list is personal data. Use it only to protect your vehicle, do not pass the details on to anyone else, and tell us when a ban you entered is no longer needed - you may lift your own ban, and we may lift any ban.
This agreement is governed by Finnish law. Disputes are settled in the district court of Helsinki, unless the law requires otherwise.
I am the owner of this vehicle, or I have the legal right to rent it out.
What this means - The vehicle is mine, or I am otherwise entitled to rent it out: nobody else has a claim on the rental days I accept, no lease, finance or employer agreement forbids renting the vehicle out, and the person in the registration is me or has authorised me. I tell RRRentals at once when that changes, and I pause or remove the listing as soon as I no longer have the right to rent the vehicle out (Owner Agreement section 2).
The vehicle is roadworthy and safe to ride.
What this means - The brakes, tyres, wheels, lights, bell, saddle, battery, charger and lock work, and on an e-bicycle the motor cuts off as the law requires; the frame is sound, the battery is undamaged, and the vehicle has not been modified or de-restricted. I check the vehicle before every handover and after every return, I keep it serviced, and I take it out of my calendar myself - or ask RRRentals to do it - as soon as anything is wrong (Owner Agreement sections 2 and 3).
The insurance Finnish law requires for this vehicle is taken out, paid for and in force, and I will keep it in force for as long as the listing stays on RRRentals.
A moped or a motorbike - The vehicle has a valid liikennevakuutus, the compulsory motor liability insurance under liikennevakuutuslaki (460/2016). That is the statutory minimum cover: it pays compensation for personal injury and for property damage the vehicle causes to third parties in traffic, whoever was at fault, as well as for the rider's own injuries. The vehicle is registered and the policy is in force for the whole time the listing is live. I will give RRRentals the insurer, the policy number and the registration on request, and I will tell RRRentals immediately if the policy lapses, the cover changes or the vehicle is deregistered.
An e-bicycle - The vehicle is a pedal-assisted bicycle limited to 250 W and 25 km/h (EN 15194). It is a bicycle in Finnish law, not a motor vehicle, and Finnish law requires no insurance for it: no compulsory cover exists for the harm a rider of an e-bicycle causes to a third party. Because there is no statutory cover, I have voluntary liability insurance of my own (vastuuvakuutus, normally the liability part of a home insurance, kotivakuutus) that covers this vehicle while it is rented out for payment, or I have told RRRentals that I do not have such cover.
Whose duty this is - Taking this insurance out, paying the premium for it and keeping it valid is my own duty and my own cost as the owner of the vehicle, and it stays mine. RRRentals does not take insurance out for my vehicle, is not the policyholder or the insured under my policy and does not pay the premium; it only requires this declaration. Neither the declaration nor any check RRRentals makes transfers that duty, or the liability for a missing cover, to RRRentals, and I am liable to RRRentals for the loss a missing or lapsed cover causes (Owner Agreement section 7).
I have taken out extended insurance for this vehicle.
What counts as extended insurance - Cover that goes beyond the third-party insurance Finnish law requires: for a motorbike, more than the compulsory liikennevakuutus; for an e-bicycle, more than the voluntary liability cover that answers for the harm a rider causes to somebody else. Extended insurance pays for what that cover does not - medical expenses of the renter, and/or damage to the vehicle itself (own-damage cover), including theft.
What the tick means, and what it does not - The declaration is optional, and it is a statement of fact, not a promise of cover by RRRentals: the insurance remains your own contract with your insurer, we do not pay the renter's medical costs and we do not repair the vehicle. A listing that carries the declaration is shown to renters as having extended insurance, so a renter may choose the vehicle because of it. Marketing and pre-contractual information must be true, so untick the box or tell us as soon as the cover lapses, changes or does not pay what the statement suggests. The declaration says nothing about the compulsory cover: a motorbike still needs its valid liikennevakuutus (Owner Agreement section 4).
You accept this agreement by ticking the confirmation on List your bike. The version you accepted, the date and the exact wording are recorded for every listing. By accepting it you also accept that a renter is not liable for the vehicle being broken and is liable only for what is missing (section 6), and you give the the three declarations of section 12: ownership, roadworthiness and the insurance the law requires.
